SO MUCH IS AT STAKE IN 2010!

For 12 years, Republicans have controlled Florida State Government.  The result: disastrous policies and the worst economy in memory.

If we don't take back key State offices and bring balance to the Legislature in November, we face a frightening future --

  • The ultrasound bill will be back, putting at high risk women's reproductive rights and health.
  • SB6 will be back, jeopardizing quality education for our children.
  • Off-shore drilling will be back, as the Republicans continue to block a state constitutional amendment and threaten Florida's priceless environment.
  • Republicans will gerrymander voting districts to their advantage and maintain their lock on Florida government for another 10 years.

Ruth's List Florida and its members are changing the face of power in Tallahassee by electing progressive, Democratic women. In 2010, we have our best chance yet!

  • The Governorship and all Statewide Cabinet offices are open and hotly contested. With your support, Ruth's List will help elect progressive, Democratic women to these offices.
  • More than 30 seats are open in the Legislature. With your support, Ruth's List will help elect progressive, Democratic women to the State Legislature -- putting a brake on the runaway power of the Republicans.
  • Fair Districts Florida has put State Constitutional amendments #5 & #6 on the ballot in November. These changes will end gerrymandering in the redistricting process and help bring true representation to the Legislature and Congress.
